Make use of the leftover scraps

When you cut 2 1/2" strips from recycled neckties, you end up with some sizeable scraps from the wide end, as well as 2 tips that can be used as "prairie points" if the tie is not too worn.  These scraps are usually large enough to cut wedges or strips that can be pieced onto a foundation and used in a quilt or other project.  I have used them to make small, special occasion handbags,  piecing onto a medium-weight interfacing.
