Jacket from quilted fabric

A quick way to prepare fabric for a jacket is to "quilt" it to muslin or well-washed flannel.  Then cut out your jacket pieces - fronts and back at least, assemble, and line the jacket.  You can do "whole cloth" or create patchwork.  You will need a piece at least 30" x 70" or equivalent for most sizes (fronts and back only).
