Working with a damaged tie

There are ways to work with damaged ties.  A small hole can be patched with a piece cut from elsewhere in the tie and fused over the hole using fusible web, stitched in place with matching thread.  You can also patch with a tie label, stitched over the damaged area.  Ties weakened by wear can be reinforced with a light-weight fusible interfacing on the wrong side.  Many faded ties can be used by turning inside out and using the wrong side.
