More thoughts on stripes

There are other uses for stripes in clothing.  Following the basic rule that vertical stripes are slimming, you can use striped fabric for side fronts and backs in princess-style jackets, underarm areas of straighter styles, or even a whole jacket of vertical stripes.  Stripes on the bias add interest, especially when used to create a chevron effect on a portion of the garment.
