Marking methods for clothing
There are several ways to mark guides when preparing to sew clothing. Notches can be cut into the seam allowance or a "V" can be cut away from the seam allowance. You can mark the dots or notches in the seam allowance with a washable marker. A tailor's tack is another way to mark - stitch a small stitch at the spot you want to mark on the garment and leave tails to pull the thread out later.
