More recycling basics

After washing and drying my ties, I remove and save the label and open the back seam, which is usually either hand sewn (easy!), or chain stitched.  If chain stitched, you need to find the one thread end that unravels the entire seam.  Start at the narrow end of the tie, remove any security stitches, and then pick at the loose ends until the seam pulls apart.
