Coordinates for necktie projects

There are many options when looking for a fabric to coordinate in a necktie project.  I have recycled a man's dress shirt as the background in a bowtie block quilt, used silk dupioni in other small quilts, various solid-color silks in jacket projects, and subtly-printed cottons in various necktie projects.  I've also used some of the tie linings in a crazy-patch mix.  (The linings are quite sheer and need an underlining of some sort to make them opaque.)
