Sewing a quilted garment
Sometimes we want to make a garment from pre-quilted pieces. If you don't need to add a separate lining, you will need to finish the raw edges before or as you assemble the garment. If you have a serger, an option is to finish all exposed edges with a nice serged finish. Another option if you have a narrow seam allowance - 1/4" to 3/8", is to make 1/2" to 3/4" bias tape to finish your seams. Open it up and sew one side on the fold as you join 2 pieces, then enclose the raw edges and stitch on the other fold to finish.
