Pillow covers

You can make a fun pillow cover with the narrower parts of a dozen or so whole neckties (interfacing intact).  There is enough length from the narrower end of a tie to cover a 17"-18" pillow form.  Using a foundation 19" x 37", cover with ties by stitching together at the folds with zigzag or other joining stitch, leaving the tips free and leaving 1/2" uncovered on the long sides.  Fold in half (19" x 18 1/2") and sew the sides together in 1/2" seam.  Insert pillow form, tuck edges in 1/2" and close the end, leaving the tips free.
