Family ties with photos

Have a little fun with family memories in a memorial quilt, using family neckties and family photos transferred to fabric.  Several years ago I bought ink-jet-ready silk fabric sheets with a vague idea of a future project. This fabric is the perfect weight to pair with recycled neckties in a quilt project.  I chose several photos to scan to my computer and arranged them on a letter-sized document.  Before printing to the fabric, I printed a draft copy to be sure all would fit.  The photos could then be cut apart and sewn together with pieces of neckties.
