Designs for memory quilts

There are many possibilities for memory quilt designs using family neckties.  Consider echoing the tie shape with a Dresden Plate or fan pattern.  For large print ties, feature them in large rectangles, accented with the smaller print ties as borders around the large prints.  A Chinese Coin variation (varying widths) would showcase a variety of print sizes.  I always recommend stabilizing necktie fabrics with a very light-weight and soft fusible interfacing before cutting.
