Most commercial patterns are printed on thin tissue.  When you find a pattern that may become a favorite, take the time to preserve it for multiple uses.  One of the best ways is to trace the pattern pieces onto pattern paper or material.  There are several products available, including "Swedish Tracing Paper", a sewable product, and plain or gridded nonwoven interfacing-like "fabric", available plain or gridded.  Be sure to include ALL the markings and note any information you might need.
