Ties in clothing

I have found the best way to incorporate neckties into clothing is to first stabilize them with a fusible underlining (the best I've found is Touch O' Gold 2 by HTC).  The ties will still want to stretch a bit, but can be used like and with any other fabric.  If you want to use the tie whole and maintain the stretch, fuse a narrow strip of the underlining to the seam lines to facilitate sewing.
