More fabric from tie scraps

You can make a "confetti" fabric to use up many of your tie scraps.  Use an organza base (this will be the "right" side of your fabric) and layer scraps right side down to cover it.  Cover with a water soluble stabilizer and stitch through the layers heavily to secure the scraps.  Wash well to remove the stabilizer and use your new fabric in an art-y project.
