If you need to lengthen or shorten a fitted sleeve - one that has an elbow dart or tuck - it's a two step process.  Decide how much you need to adjust and divide that amount in half.  Make half the adjustment above the elbow and the other half below.  This will keep the elbow shaping in the right place.
