Cutting slippery fabrics

I find that the easiest way to cut slippery fabrics, such as linings, is to use a cutting mat and rotary pinking blade.  It's in lifting the fabric to cut with scissors that the fabric can slip and your cut ends up not straight.  Cutting flat on a mat gives a smooth cut.  Just remember to have a sharp blade in your cutter - thin fabrics need sharp blades.
