Tie flower

A fun flower to make from necktie points:  Cut 6-8 points about 2" long.  Overlap one over the next into a chain about half-way into the raw edges.  Gather with long stitches into a circle, joining the final point to the first.  Draw the gathers up tightly and fasten.  Glue a large button over the center opening.  Sew to a base to use as a pin, or to a jacket or purse as an embellishment.
