Make crazy-patch fabric

Several years ago, I made a crazy-patch lining for a jacket.  I pieced scraps of neckties and small bits of silk (sample squares) onto a foundation much like traditional crazy patch.  The difference is that the foundation I used was a wash-away "paper".  I started by filling one sheet and added more until I had a piece large enough to cut the lining.  Before washing away the foundation, I embroidered over seams and added designs, removed as much foundation as possible, then washed and cut my lining pieces.
