Taking a tie apart

I was recently given a large bag of ties and was told that they had already been washed and most of them also taken apart.  The person who prepared these went to more trouble than was necessary, as she had removed the lining from the tips as well.  I always leave the tips intact so they can be used as "prairie points" if I want.  So when you take your ties apart, leave the lining on the tips!
