Hip and shoulder adjustments

Pattern adjustments for hip size can be made easily with multiple-size patterns.  Find the cutting line that corresponds with your hip size and taper the seam line below the bust line out to meet the new cutting line just above the hip line.  Make the same adjustment front and back.  Similarly, adjust for shoulder width by tapering in or out to meet a new shoulder line from about 1/3 of the way up the armhole opening (front and back) to the new shoulder width.
