Make a collage fabric

You can make fabric with necktie scraps, tulle or organza, sticky washaway stabilizer, and thread.  Lay out a piece of stabilizer sticky side up and cover it with scraps of neckties.  Cover all with a piece of organza and pin to secure.  Stitch over all thoroughly.  Wash to remove stabilizer and use as you wish.
