Using stained ties
I always wash my recycled ties before I use them. Sometimes a stain will not come out, or dye will transfer from one tie to stain another. I can always find a use for these ties. If the tip is not stained, it can be used as a "prairie point". Most of the tie can be used for appliques, piecing, or other small applications. You might also be able to cover up the stain with a tie label or fuse a scrap over the stain.
