Tools for necktie patchwork

When I make patchwork with recycled ties, I make sure I have an unblemished blade in my rotary cutter, a new "sharp" needle in my machine, and use a quality fine thread, such as "Soft Touch" by YLI.  The "sharp" needle will penetrate without snagging and the fine 60 wt. thread will disappear into the fabric.
