I have used tie labels in several projects:  A string of them as decoration on a bag, used like appliqued ribbon.  Stabilizer for buttons on a blouse, sewn to the right side.  Random decoration on a vest made of ties.  Covered a flaw or hole on a tie used in a project.  Random decoration on small wall quilts made of my father's ties, given to my family (Mom got the best ones!).
