Sizing a quilted garment

If you are making a quilted garment using a pattern that is not designed to be quilted, it would be wise to cut a size larger than you usually use.  The extra bulk of the batting can make the garment fit a bit tighter.  Baste the garment together before final sewing to check fit and sew larger seams if necessary to adjust fit.
