Prep ties for washing

People often ask me how I wash my recycled neckties.  I always wash the ties intact - they are much less likely to tangle into a knot.  I wash in my machine - cool water, a bit of Retayne to set the dyes, a mild soap, and liquid fabric softener to reduce tangling and static.  Air dry before taking them apart.
