Stable buttonholes

If you haven't seen the video on fail-safe buttonholes from Nancy's Notions, I'll pass along a tip for more stable buttonholes from it.  Pin a piece of tear-away stabilizer to the back of the area where you plan to make buttonholes.  Then stitch your buttonholes and tear away the excess stabilizer.  Your buttonholes will stitch without stretching and keep their shape better with use.
